Hyper-V Client Console, Manager from Utharam.com for XP and other OSs allows remote management of Microsoft Hyper-V Virtualization Server from XP and other OSs not supported by Microsofts remote mangement tools. Microsoft Remote Adminstration Tools for Hyper-V are supported only on Vista and above operating systems. This tool provides capabilities like TreeView organization of virtual machines, control of features on a per user basis, detailed auditing etc. If you run Hyper-V Server, this is a must have tool. If you run XP or other operating systems not supported by the Microsoft Remote Server Administration Toolkit, this tool allows you to administer Hyper-V servers from those operating systems. If you run an operating system supported by Microsoft RSAT tools, then get advance capabilities not found in those tools, like audit logs, user licensing and tree view to organize your virtual machines. Microsoft Hyper-V Sever comes with a management console that is supported on Windows Server 2008 or Vista operating systems. There is no support for remote management of Hyper-V Server or the virtual machines hosted on the server from other operating systems including XP which is the dominant client OS today.
