It results in an alternative view that unfortunately most Christians will never consider. Most readers (including myself) have a bias that leads us to finish a thought mentally before we have finished reading a sentence. There were several cases where I thought the Word said one thing and it was clearly an assumption on my part based on the most common interpretations that I had heard stated over and over.
